Troubleshooting & FAQ
Use this guide to resolve the most common issues encountered when analysing strategies on Veksi. Remember: Veksi delivers research and signals only—you will execute trades and maintain trade logs on your preferred broker or exchange.
Analytics & data issues
The Analytics page shows no strategies
- Clear filters or lower minimum trades — overly strict filters return nothing.
- Check multi-selects: hold Cmd/Ctrl to add items; unintentionally clearing all options hides results.
- Ensure both V1 and V2 datasets are available for the selected pair. Try switching the source toggle.
Data looks stale or delayed
- Review the timestamp under the Trades panel to confirm last refresh.
- Refresh after 5 minutes. Scheduled exchange maintenance can delay updates by ~30 minutes.
- If the delay persists, note the pair/interval and reach out via the standard feedback channel.
A strategy disappeared from the list
- Strategies under review (quality gates failed) are hidden temporarily. Check the changelog and your email notifications.
- Confirm it still matches your filters; intervals or pairs may have changed.
- Contact support with the strategy name and approximate removal time if unsure.
Scores & metrics
Why did the score drop suddenly?
- Recent trades may have reduced PF or win rate. Inspect the Trades panel and timeline.
- Strategy parameters might have changed. Check the strategy detail page changelog.
- Scores also adjust when trade count falls below quality thresholds due to expanded timeframe.
Numbers differ between V1 and V2
- Live executions capture slippage and fees while simulations do not. Expect slightly lower PF/PnL in V1.
- V1 coverage may include fewer trades. Extend timeframe to gather more history.
- Large divergence? Flag for review so we can validate the data source.
V1 — Realised
PF 1.32 · PnL +980 · Trades 142
Includes exchange fees and slippage; fewer trades recorded.
V2 — Simulated
PF 1.54 · PnL +1,240 · Trades 210
Idealised fills without slippage; broader historical coverage.
How should I interpret profit factor or daily profit?
- Profit factor above 1.3 indicates an edge; combine with trade count to assess reliability.
- Daily profit is in quote currency. Normalise against your capital before comparing.
- See the Glossary or Strategy Evaluation guide for deeper definitions and examples.
Technical issues
CSV download fails or looks garbled
- Ensure your spreadsheet imports UTF-8. In Excel, use Data → Get Data → From Text/CSV.
- Try a different browser if the download does not start (Chrome/Safari latest).
- Still broken? Send the filter URL and browser version to support.
Analytics page feels slow
- Clear browser cache or use a private window to rule out cached scripts.
- Limit the number of selected pairs/intervals if you are loading thousands of trades.
- Persistent slowness? Capture browser console logs (F12) and share with support.
How do I use Veksi insights with my broker/exchange?
- Export trades or summary tables (CSV) and import them into your broker journal or spreadsheet for execution planning.
- Replicate signals manually—set alerts or orders on your trading platform based on the strategies you approve.
- Veksi does not connect to broker APIs; keep your credentials and execution fully under your control.
Keeping your own records
Veksi does not execute trades or maintain trading logs on your behalf. Keep disciplined records to close the loop between research and execution.
- Copy the Strategy Comparison scorecard or export analytics CSVs into your own journal.
- Track entry/exit decisions, broker fills, fees, and deviations from the strategy.
- Review logs weekly to confirm live results stay aligned with the research data.
Reminder:
Never grant third parties execution access unless mandated by your compliance policy. Veksi will never request trading credentials.
